Mohan Dhall

Mohan Dhall is a high school teacher, university lecturer and runs the Australian Tutoring Association. He has a passion for education, accountability and consumer protection. Currently studying a Master of Law degree, Mohan believes the best way to advocate is through understanding.

He would like to see tutors become recognised as an intrinsic supplementary aspect of mainstream education at all levels and believes that the best tutors are those that aim to make themselves redundant (that is, to help students learn to help themselves).

This session will provide a context for tuition in changing societies and will explore issues of accountability, best practice and consumer protection. It will draw from the Australian experience as well as case study examples from experiences and academic studies undertaken in Viet Nam, Singapore, Korea and other nations.
